During the holidays I had time to do something very special.
Back in 2012 when I was working on Reflections in the Emerald Isle I was digitizing my father’s old Super 8 and came across a reel labeled ‘Carmel Cowboys – 1970’.

The film contained footage of my father and his friend in a Californian monastery attempting to act out a Maltese Spaghetti Western. At the time I didn’t have time to look at it in detail but in the back of my mind I knew i’ll come back to this footage to edit it in a funny way.

Carmel Cowboys is a tribute to my father and an eclectic view of early 1970s California.
