I have decided that the Forgotten Landscapes book will be done in Maltese and English.
Antoine Cassar has become friends of mine since my friendship with Kristina Quintano began back last summer. We have attended several “Open Mic” events in Malta where poets and brave souls wondered to the stage to pour out their souls to a crowd of thirsty travelers.
Antoine is a gifted poet, intellectual and translator. Some might say he is one of the best translators on the island but to me he is a good man from my fathers’ village of Qrendi.
I approached him with the idea to translate the book and some poetry I have been writing for the project. Luckily he happily agreed.
I am once again in the thick of artistic madness. As I ride my scooter to Kristina to discuss revisions or to the Designers at Best Print to sort out book layout issues or to the isolated desk of my little abode to begin film edits or to the hospital to see my mother or to my daytime work in Information Technology, I find little time to rest or think about anything else.
