On Wednesday I made my way to the vast British Second World War ruins of Fort Campbell to Meet Jenie, the artist selected for this location.
Scouting a location is always a delight as it is a first. It cannot be replicated and with that there is something unique and special. As soon as I came off my dusty scooter, with camera at hand and the objective of exploration, I was instantly drawn into the swirling pandemonium that enveloped me a decade ago as I set foot on those rural farm ruins of Cedar Mains Farm.

Jenie arrived, water bottle at hand as the late summer sun poured down on us. Snapping photography with Jenie, who at this point was just as intrigued as I was. The derelict barracks, collapsed underground limestone and concrete mixed with the location on the cliff side made it a spectacular site indeed. At least the sea breeze helped cooled us down.
One particular spot was a circular spot that looked like it once housed aerial artillery. The walls were spread with exotic graffiti of nudes, ghostly figures and Gothic symbols. The fusion of nature, militaristic order and artistic chaos charged the atmosphere of myth that again stirred my imagination.
