I have joined the Ontario Poetry Society to promote my book. The people are nice and I have performed my first public reading. It went well and I was surprised that I was able to get on the stage and perform my work without becoming extremely stressed. I assume that this is because I am confident in my work and was relieved that the response to the poems was warm and welcoming. We will see where this work goes.
